Electric Load Profiles

Central Hudson's Class specific load profiles contain 5 columns of data in the following order:

   1       2     3      4           5
stratum month hour daytype average hourly load in kW
 RNH       8     17    WKDAY            1.508

where daytype 'WKDAY' = workday = Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri;
      daytype 'WKEND' = weekend = Sat, Sun or Holiday; and
      stratum = one of the 14 following broad groupings of customers:

    Service Classification Number 1; residential customers:

    stratum

  1. RNH = residential customers without electric heat;
  2. RHT = residential customers with electric heat;

    Service Classification Number 6; time-of-use (TOU) residential customers:

    stratum

  3. TN1 = residential TOU customers without electric heat averaging less than 1501 kWh per month;
  4. TN2 = residential TOU customers without electric heat averaging more than 1500 kWh per month;

  5. TH1 = residential TOU customers with electric heat averaging less than 1801 kWh per month;
  6. TH2 = residential TOU customers with electric heat averaging more than 1800 kWh per month;

    Service Classification Number 2; commercial customers:

    stratum

  7. ND1 = commercial customers without demand meters averaging less than 301 kWh per month;
  8. ND2 = commercial customers without demand meters averaging between 300 and 1401 kWh per month;
  9. ND3 = commercial customers without demand meters averaging more than 1400 kWh per month;

  10. SD1 = commercial customers with demand meters @ secondary voltage averaging less than 36 kW per month in summer;
  11. SD2 = commercial customers with demand meters @ secondary voltage averaging between 35 and 141 kW per month in summer;
  12. SD3 = commercial customers with demand meters @ secondary voltage averaging more than 140 kW per month in summer;

  13. PD1 = commercial customers with demand meters @ primary voltage averaging less than 401 kW per month in summer;
  14. PD2 = commercial customers with demand meters @ primary voltage averaging more than 400 kW per month in summer;

... a click on any stratum will open a text file containing the average hourly demand by stratum, month, hour & daytype;
... a customer's usage factor times the average hourly profiled demand yields the estimated hourly demand of the individual customer;
... the sum of the estimated hourly demands of each & every customer in the ESCOs portfolio yields the ESCOs estimated hourly load obligation.
